The quest for excellence on the part of the UAE Government is underpinned by its adherence to the EFQM model which has inspired the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) and the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP). The basic philosophy is one of a commitment to continuous improvement across pre-defined areas labelled Enablers and Results. After a detailed review and collection of base statistics, corrective actions are initiated and a measurement mechanism is put into place and results are benchmarked against similar organizations regionally and abroad.
